The score is an estimate
ATS Scorer uses transparent, rule-based checks to estimate how well a resume is likely to be read and ranked by applicant tracking systems. Real ATS products — such as Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, Taleo, iCIMS, Naukri RMS and others — each parse and rank resumes differently, and every employer configures them differently. Recruiters also search with their own keywords and make their own judgements.
Because of this:
- the same resume can be ranked differently by different companies;
- a high score on our site does not guarantee that your resume will pass any particular ATS, or that you will be shortlisted, interviewed or hired;
- a low score does not mean you are unqualified for a role.
Use the score and tips as guidance to remove common problems — unreadable formatting, missing sections, missing keywords and vague bullet points — and then use your own judgement.
Be truthful
Our keyword suggestions show words that appear in a job description or are common for a role. Only add skills, tools and experience you genuinely have. Misrepresenting your experience can lead to rejection or dismissal, and we are not responsible for the content of your resume.
Not professional advice
Articles, examples and keyword lists on this site are general information written to help job seekers. They are not legal, financial or professional career advice tailored to your situation. Salary figures, hiring practices and tools mentioned can change over time.
Affiliate and advertising disclosure
ATS Scorer is free because of ads and affiliate links. Some links to products and services (for example resume builders, LinkedIn Premium or online courses) are affiliate links: if you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This never affects your score. We aim to recommend only products we believe are useful, but we do not control third-party products and you should evaluate them yourself.
Accuracy and availability
We work hard to keep the checker accurate and the site available, but we cannot guarantee that it is error-free or always online. Text extraction can occasionally fail on unusual files. If you think your score is wrong, please tell us at the contact form on our Contact page — your feedback helps us improve.
